LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Five bomb threat calls were phoned into stores in Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon and all were found to be false threats.

Metro Watch Commander Lt. Ken Romaine said the calls came in from 3:32 to 3:55 p.m. All were to either Kmart or Dollar General stores.

"They were all unfounded in that nothing was found," Romaine told News 3. "We used a canine to search the first call at 7501 West Washington and nothing was found. The last call came in at 3:55 p.m. at a Kmart at Bonanza and Nellis."

The Kmart was evacuated and everybody was in the parking lot a caller told News 3.

Romaine said it is up to store management to decide whether to evacuate the store. He said Metro officers handled all of the calls.

The bomb squad was not called into action, Romaine said.
