LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- The National Weather Service has issued a advisory for minor flooding on the west side of the Las Vegas Valley.
The advisory is effective through 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
At 2:37 p.m. doppler radar indicated heavy rain on the west side of the beltway from neat Flamingo Road to Russell Road.
Rain guages in the area have shown .60 inches of rain in the past 30 minutes.
Affected areas include the beltway from near Flamingo, Tropicana and Russell roads.
Water is likely to collect on roads and especially near underpasses. Drivers should be alert to water on the roads. It is always adviseable to turn around ratehr than drive through standing water where you cannot see the surface of the road.
