LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have issued a flash flood warning for parts of Clark County south and east of Las Vegas.

The National Weather Service reported Wednesday that a nearly stationary thunderstorm was creating gusty winds, heavy rain and lightning in the area near the Henderson Executive Airport.

The warning was issued a little after 3 p.m. and was to remain in effect until 5:15 p.m.

Affected areas include Anthem, Seven Hills, Silverado Ranch, Southern Highlands and Green Valley.

The weather service says flash flooding is expected in washes, roadways and underpasses in those areas.

Here is a live view of the weather and a storm forming over Las Vegas.
