Four teenager boys ranging from 13 to 17 years old were arrested Friday night in connection with a number of thefts from vehicles in the residential neighborhood near College Drive and Mission Drive.
A 24-year-old Henderson resident was injured after approaching one suspect that was breaking into the car parked in front of his residence. The victim chased the 17-year-old suspect, who stabbed him in the left side with a folding pocket knife. The victim was transported to the hospital for the non-life-threatening injury.
After this incident, the suspects continued burglarizing vehicles. Another resident caught and detained a second 16-year-old suspect until Henderson police arrived. Henderson Police identified and arrested all four suspects.
Charges vary for each of the four suspects and include burglary, possession of stolen property, petit larceny, battery substantial, and assault and battery with a knife. The suspects only entered unlocked vehicles, so there was no damage to cars.
Henderson detectives believe the four suspects may be involved in a string of recent auto burglaries in Henderson.
