Continued... Just like any other criminal, he was brought up on charges just like anyone else who would have been and therefore, was and will always be remembered as such. I do not deny that yes he was a loving man, but he was also a greedy man as well. NO ONE who dedicates their lives to saving lives takes advantage of ill patients and sleeps well at night, as to my understanding Dr Conti suffered from such, guilt! I hope that he RIP, I truly am sorry for all those who loved him and lost, but remember the others who lost too, their promises, their hopes and their dreams have been lost as well.

First I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Dr. Conti's family. Losing someone you love regardless of the good or bad, is just simply painful in itself that I am not posting this to add to it, I just wanted to say my peace. I did know Dr. Conti and I in fact donated my placenta to him for “research purposes” back in Jan of 2006. I was asked on many occasion for an interview regarding the stem cell – placenta – ordeal he and this other Dr were involved with, I declined many but did do 1 interview with the LVRJ in Oct 2011, at which time I was attacked by many Conti supporters, yet those same supporters want to attacked the media for displaying the truth regarding Dr. Conti and this stem cell research program he was running and banking on. I must ask, when do the patients he defrauded get recognition and restitution or even an oz of support? I was not harmed in anyway by donating my placenta and I would have donated my placenta to any Dr. that was doing a positive deed so I never asked for anything nor did I receive anything for it, but I would like to ask, why was I attacked for telling the story behind my donation? AND, WHAT ABOUT THE ILL PATIENTS WHO WERE FRAUDED when do they get support for what they went through? Its appalling to me to see such supporters of one man go so deep into his world that they forget about the victims of his greed, the ill patients who put their lives and money on these Dr's. Its a shame that everyone is so wrapped up into Dr. Conti that no one has bothered to accept the truth which has good and bad in it. We all know, Dr. Condti was an amazing pedi, in fact my children loved him and I know he loved my children regardless if he was willing to see them or not due to an outstanding bill, I still admired him for the good he did have within him. The fact still remains although a good hearted person and Dr. he allowed greed to overpower his good judgement and broke the law. Just like any other criminal, he was brought up

@Curtainlifter - you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, dr. conti was a great man, I'm willing to bet my life that he was a significantly better person than you are. I have seen Dr. Conti all of my life, and so has most everyone else here (or at least their children) from their comments, so if you don't know him I must respectfully say that you have no clue what you are talking about, and should not disrespect a deceased man who you didn't even know.

Curtainlifter - you are absolutely out of your mind if you think the court is going to sentence a man who is deceased. In fact, in the federal courts, if a person dies before the judgment is final -- meaning the person has been sentenced, a judgment of conviction has been filed, and either an appeal has not been taken or the appeal is dismissed -- all charges against the person are dismissed. In other words, Dr. Conti will have an absolutely clear name in the eyes of the law and he will not stand convicted of anything. As a legal matter, under the abatement doctrine, it's the same as having never been charged at all.

curtainlifter...May you have a blessed day and I pray that God removes some of that bitterness from your heart. So, what is supposed to happen on the feb 27th hearing? Dr. Conti is dead. Or, do you want him to be resurrected just so you can gloat over his "punishment"? People loved Dr. Conti, plain and simple.

'LydiOwnen' & 'pilar'. I'm curious 'LydiOwen', in Romania, do they allow doctors to take placentas from hospitals without registering with the authorities? Pretty sure that would be against the law there too. In Romania do they allow doctors to inject the stem cells from said placentas without proper testing for possible transferable infections or if stem cells even existed in the parts they drew from??? Pretty sure that would also be against the law there too. And I can't say I've been there but I'm pretty sure Romanian prisons are not exacty a highly coveted vacation destination either. ------You did notice in the news that Conti was proven guilty on mulitple charges yes? You also noticed that he is/was facing real prison time? Did you read the part about the fines he is/was facing? The case was a 'complete sham' you say... 'Only to prove a point' you say???? HAHAHA... yes, the point is you break the law and you go to jail. You folks are all righteous, but I doubt you'd feel the same if it was your family who paid real money to be a victim of these crimes. If you think he's such a saint, you are going to be in for some reality come Feb. 27. Bottom line... until people who commit these crimes against some of the most vulnerable of society, these crimes will continue. Be looking forward to hearing from you all on Feb. 27. It's a gorgeous day outside useful fools and haters, take your heads out of the sand and enjoy all there is to see, not just what you declare. Happy holidays :)

I met Dr. Conti when I was 7 months pregnant in Sepember 1991 and I knew he was the perfect Dr. for my baby. Dr. Conti was a caring and wonderful physician who loved all his patients, greeted everyone with a smile and a "hello mom hello dad, how are you today?" My daughters father called me this morning with the heart breaking news of Dr Contis passing and we are just devastated. He has been our daughters pediatrician her entire life. Infact last year was the last time we saw him which was bitter sweet. My daughter was born with a heart defect and severe asthma and hospitalized multiple times and Dr. Conti was always there as he promised he would be in our very first meeting.."come rain or shine if your baby needs me I will be there" and he was! He was a great, caring, and comforting physician and man and will truly be missed. May God rest your soul.

I met Dr. Conti when my son was born 18 years ago. A horrible female pediatrician that the hospital assigned to my son told me he was going to have brain damage when he was 2 days old. I found a phone number for a pediatricians office in the middle of the night and called in tears. Within 10 minutes Dr. Conti called me back. He told me my son had extra estrogen in his system because he was just born, and to bring him in the next day. Sure enough he was right. My son tests in the top 5% of the country, but that sure didn't matter when my son was two days old and I was crying uncontrollably in the middle of the night. Dr. Ralph Conti has been my 5 children's pediatrician for 18 years. He is without a doubt the most caring wonderful family loving man I have ever known. He would do just about anything to help if he could. People who didn't know how wonderful this man was should stop sticking in their 2 cents where it doesn't belong, because if he was your doctor, chances are you weren't giving him up. God Bless Dr. Conti for trying to save children who were chronically ill and had life long medical issues that prevented them from really living. All he ever wanted was for children to be children; to love, laugh, play and live. He would never intentionally hurt ANYONE, much less a child. Each time my children were born, I would hear whistling down the hallway of the hospital at a little after 6 in the morning. It always made me smile because I knew who it was. He never took his personal issues to work with him because he loved the children so much. Don't sit in judgement of someone with a heart of gold that you didn't even know. He was a role model for all of us. He is the son every mother would want. He dedicated his entire adult life to the health and happiness of our children.
