LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- Two 11-year-old local boys charged with killing kittens will return to court today for a plea hearing.

The boys each face seven felony charges.

The last time they were in court, the judge asked for more psychological tests.

A judge placed the boys on house arrest after their first court appearance in family court.

The boys are accused of throwing rocks at a mother cat as she was giving birth to the kittens at an apartment complex near Fort Apache and Russell in early October.

Six kittens ultimately died.

A member of the Nevada Political Action for Animals said back then that she thought the additional tests the judge ordered were a step in the right direction but felt they should receive the maximum penalty.

If convicted, the boys could face time in juvenile detention. Each boy is looking at a maximum of 30 days and probation.

gee a whole 30 days and probation. wow that will make others think.sarcasm intended. If they were my kids they would face far worse punishment at homethan they got in this court. All the courts are telling them is , no big deal. probation is usually a joke for the kids. they break it and the court just keeps extending it. Why not commit crimes if your not going to be punished ? I have not heard where the parents spoke out about this.Has anyone else ? Are they defending their little angels or are they mad and handing out real punishment ?

Children come into this world a blank slate. Either that child grows to be a well-adjusted, compassionate human being or an eleven year-old that would stone newborn kittens to death. After all the excuses are made and blame placed on society and peers, one undeniable truth remains: parents determine what that child becomes, what he believes, what he fears, what he hates, what he respects, and what he thinks of himself.

Those kids should be locked up for good. Animal torture is an early sign of a future psychopath and serial killer. The behavior escalates as they get older.

Great start to a life of a serial wacko.
