LAS VEGAS (Las Vegas Sun and KSNV) --
A man who allegedly robbed a KFC restaurant at gunpoint and led Metro on a 20 minute high-speed chase Sunday night, has been arrested and identified authorities said.
Enrique Flores was arrested Sunday night after pointing a firearm at numerous individuals and then fleeing from officers.
Flores has been charged with:
- Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person,
- Resisting a PO with a deadly weapon, and
- Evading a police officer
Because Flores was originally booked “in absentia” because of injuries suffered in the traffic collision that ended the incident, his photograph was not previously available
Metro officers responded to a robbery call at 7:43 p.m. Sunday at the KFC in the 6100 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard, Officer Larry Hadfield said.
The man allegedly robbed the KFC with a rifle before fleeing and leading officers on a high-speed chase for several miles, Hadfield said.
At one point, the car’s tires were punctured, but the man continued driving before eventually stopping on Interstate 15 near Sahara Avenue and surrendering to officers, Hadfield said.
A firearm was found in the vehicle, Hadfield said.
The suspect was booked into the Clark County Detention Center, Hadfield said.-- Riley Snyder / Las Vegas Sun
