The 550-foot high High Roller boasts 28 pods that can hold 40 passengers each. It is located just east of the Strip.
According to owner Caesars Entertainment, an official operating permit obtained last week paved the way for the opening.
The Linq's website has begun offering tickets for purchase, with prices varying depending on the time of day the ride is taken.
The website shows a daytime general admission ticket starting at $24.95, while a nighttime standard ticket costs $34.95.
Caesars said it expects between 4 million and 5 million riders within the first year of operation.
The Linq entertainment district, between the Quad and Flamingo hotel-casinos, is already in operation with more shops opening over the next few weeks.
