LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A train traveling from Utah to California partially derailed Sunday night near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis said 19 coal cars and one locomotive derailed about 9:45 p.m. Sunday. The train had 103 cars and four locomotives.

Davis says the rest of the cars are sitting on a side track so heavy equipment can work on getting cars upright and tracks repaired. Heavy equipment arrived this morning and it will take all day or longer to repair.

There were no injuries.
