LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A person has been arrested for a shooting in March at Sunrise Apartments that resulted in a man’s death.
According to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department report, Akeem Tripp, 20, shot Phillip Hooks, 29, several times March 4 after an argument with Hooks and his former girlfriend, who was then Tripp’s girlfriend.
Hooks was transported to University Medical Center, where he died April 7.
A neighbor in October told Metro detectives that Tripp admitted to the shooting, according to the report.
