LAS VEGAS --
A man was found shot to death on a sidewalk early Saturday, the 52nd homicide this year in Metro's jurisdiction.
Metro reported that at 3:56 a.m. patrol officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West Mesquite Avenue to investigate reports of a man down on the sidewalk. Arriving patrol officers located a deceased adult man with apparent gunshot wounds.
The shooting location is just east of the intersection of Interstate 15 and U.S. 95 west of downtown.
The investigation initiated by the Homicide Section indicated the victim was shot multiple times. The motive behind this homicide is unknown.
Suspects in this case have not been identified and no arrests have been made.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
The shooting is the 52nd homicide investigated by Metro this year.
