HENDERSON (KSNV & MyNews3) –A 23-year-old man was shot outside a Henderson mall Saturday morning and police are searching for the suspect who fled the scene, according to police.

The incident unfolded around 9:40 a.m. in the parking lot of the Galleria Mall on Sunset Road, according to Henderson police spokesman Keith Paul.

The victim and another man got in an argument inside the mall, police said. The victim left the mall followed by the suspect.

While in the parking lot the suspected shooter fired several times, striking the 23-year-old in the arm, Paul said.

The victim was rushed to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, said Paul adding that the man sustained non-life threatening injuries and was later released.

According to police, the suspect has been described as a black male in his early 20s wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police are investigating and have made no arrests at this time, Paul said. The victim is being uncooperative in the investigation and officers are asking the public for help.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Henderson Police Department at 267-4750 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 to remain anonymous.

It's funny that the Galleria Mall is a "gun free zone". Seems that more gun control does work ...for the criminals.
