MOUNT CHARLESTON (KSNV MyNews3) -- Who says you can't have a white Christmas in Las Vegas? Well it’s perhaps less likely on the Strip, but if you head north to Mount Charleston, there is snow – and fun.
There were lines of people in cars waiting to see the views, including Carlos Cueto Diaz of New Orleans, who was there with his grandfather, a native of Cuba, who is spending his first Christmas in the United States.
“It's just something you always see in the movies,” Diaz said. “There was something magic about a white Christmas.”
Another family plays in the Mount Charleston snow for the first time in a decade.
So no matter if it was your first Christmas in the snow or you're a regular, it can bring almost anyone a little holiday cheer.
If you are heading to the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, there is no new snow in the past day, but there is a 34-inch base, and they are making snow.
