Metro announces 2 arrests in death of Summerlin woman

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Two men have been arrested for the slaying of a woman found dead Sept. 29 at her Summerlin residence.

George Tiaffay, 40, and his friend Noel Stevens were charged with murder with a deadly weapon, robbery, burglary and conspiracy in the death of Tiaffay’s wife, Shauna.

Shauna Tiaffay, 46, was discovered at Willbrook Apartments in the 2600 block of South Pavilion Center Drive, near West Sahara and the 215.

The Clark County coroner’s office said Oct. 1 that Shauna Tiaffay died as a result to multiple blunt force injuries because of an assault.

Metro police responded to a call on September 29 at approximately 9:15 a.m. from a male, later identified as George Tiaffay, reporting he had discovered his wife deceased in her apartment located in the 2600 block of Pavilion Center Drive.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and confirmed the female was dead. Evidence at the scene indicated that the death was not natural and homicide detectives were summoned to the scene. The victim has since been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Shauna Tiaffay.

Both Tiaffay and Stevens have been booked into the Clark County Detention Center and are charged with: Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Murder with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Burglary with a Deadly Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary with a Deadly Weapon.
