LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Registered Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 90,000 people according to final numbers released today by the Nevada Secretary of State’s office.
More than 1.2 million Nevadans are registered as active voters for the Nov. 6 general election as of the close of the registration period on Oct. 16.
Of the registrants statewide, 49.9 percent (526,986) are Democrats, and 34.7 percent (436,799) are Republicans. Nonpartisans (219,299) make up 17.4 percent, Independent American Party (58,130) make up 4.6 percent, and the rest are members of the Green, Libertarian or other parties.
There are more than 138,000 registered voters today in Nevada than in the 2010 general election.
