LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – One man is dead this morning after the motorcycle he was riding rear-ended another vehicle in the northwest part of the valley.
The accident happened around 1:45 a.m. on eastbound Ann Road between Rainbow and Tenaya, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
According to Metro, a 2008 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle was traveling east on Ann Road and changing lanes from right to left. The front of the Suzuki impacted the left rear of a Honda, and the rider was ejected, flying at least 100 feet.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was not injured and remained at the scene for the collision investigation.
This is the 27th traffic related fatality in Metro's Jurisdiction in 2013.
This collision remains under investigation by Metro's Accident Investigations Section.
