NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3)—A doctor was arrested Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 68-year-old patient her room, according to North Las Vegas Police.
Doctor Mane Shah, 34, of Las Vegas faces one count of sexual assault and one count of open and gross lewdness after accusations surfaced accusing him of assaulting a woman during a physical exam, police said.
The investigation began on Nov. 2, 2012 when a North Vista Hospital official called police on a patient’s behalf to report the crime, according to police.
Shah was the victim’s attending physician during her inpatient stay at the hospital, police said.
On Thursday North Las Vegas Police arrested Shah on a warrant issued by the Clark County District Attorney’s office.
Shah is a contracted doctor who has admitting privileges at North Vista Hospital, St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Sunrise Hospital and Mountain View Hospital, police said.
