TONOPAH (KSNV MyNews3) – A school psychologist for the Nye County School District was arrested this month on 21 counts of possession of child pornography.
Perry A. Hood, 69, of Tonopah is being held on $1 million bond.
According to a Nye County Sheriff’s Department news release, detectives from the Peoria (Ariz.) Police Department contacted its office Jan. 9 to get assistance on a case against Hood.
Search warrants were executed for Hood’s home and his work place at the school district on Jan. 22.
The Peoria Police Department and the Nye County Sheriff's Office are continuing an investigation into possible crimes committed in Arizona and Nevada.
A spokesman for the school district superintendent’s office had no comment and referred all questions to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.
