LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- One person suffered smoke inhalation in a small house fire just west of Interstate 215 late Sunday morning.

The fire call came at 11:12 a.m. at 11255 Clinward Ave., just west of the beltway and midway between West Charleston Boulevard and West Sahara Avenue.

Clark County Fire Department Deputy Chief said a single handline was used to extinguish a small fire in a third-floor bedroom/office.

One occupant of the home suffered smoke inhalation, but was not taken to a hospital.

The cause of the fire, which caused about $10,000 in damage, is under investigation.

Both county and Las Vegas crews responded to the call.
