NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- North Las Vegas police say the man who was hit and killed by an ambulance Sunday night might have had alcohol in his system.
The accident happened outside a crosswalk around 8 p.m. on Lake Mead near Pecos.
Paramedics tried to save the man after the ambulance hit him but could not.
Evidence in the police report suggests the victim may have been under the influence of alcohol.
The Clark County coroner’s office has not released an official cause of death or a toxicology report at this time.
The driver of the ambulance submitted a voluntary drug and alcohol test, but police say they don't think the driver was under the influence.
