Possibly 'suicidal' pedestrian killed on busy U.S. 95

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A man was killed shortly before noon today in an auto-pedestrian accident on the U.S. 95 at West Lake Mead Boulevard shortly before noon today.

The accident occurred about 11:55 a.m.

Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott said the NHP was investigating reports that the man appeared to be suicidal when he attempted to cross the freeway and was hit by a small SUV.

There were no other reports of injuries.

U.S. 95 northbound was closed for the investigation but was opened about 1:30 p.m. The off ramp at West Lake Mead remains closed.
