Family's second child is valley's first 2014 baby

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – The first child born in 2014 in the Las Vegas valley is a girl at St. Rose Dominican on the Siena Campus.

Danika Ruth Cox was born at 12:02 a.m. today in a scheduled C-section. She is 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 18 1/2 inches in length.

She is the second child of Maggie and Clinton Cox of Henderson.

Dr. Michelle Lewis performed the delivery.
