LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A team of church volunteers in town to help with a mission were targeted by thieves who stole their SUV and all of their belongings.

News 3's Christine Kim reports the group believes $150,000 to $200,000 worth of items were stolen.

We're talking about the SUV itself and a box trailer connected to it filled with supplies, clothing and musical instruments.

They were all stolen during the group's first stop in Las Vegas after a two thousand mile drive from Kentucky.

This group of volunteers is the first wave of about 70 people who are coming to the valley to help out the Summerlin Community Baptist Church for their summer and sports camps.

They drove a black 2005 GMC Yukon and stopped by Chili's restaurant near Sharleston and Fort Apache for a bite to eat around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

News 3 spoke with the pastor of Summerlin Community Baptist, the church that's hosting the group.

He says not even an hour after they arrived, they found everything was stolen.

“They're coming out doing a lot to help us and to have this happen is discouraging to some degree can’t say surprising disheartening i feel for the gentlemen who lost truck,” said Pastor David Fee.

If you have any information about this you're asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (702) 385-5555.
