Tips lead Metro detectives to robbery suspect

LAS VEGAS -- Information from the public has led to the arrest of 23-year-old Robert Thompson in connection to a robbery that occurred at near the 2800 block of South Decatur on Sept. 2.

Following the release of surveillance photographs to the media, LVMPD Robbery Section received numerous calls providing additional leads for detectives.

The suspects were described as a Hispanic female, 5-foot-8, 150 lbs, with black wavy hair and a Hispanic male, 30 to 35 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, 200 pounds and bald.

With tips from the public Thompson was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 2 for his involvement in this crime.

Thompson is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center where he faces charges of Robbery with use of a deadly weapon, Burglary with use of a deadly weapon and Carrying a concealed weapon. The female suspect in this crime remains outstanding.
