LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Two people were critically injured in separate accidents early Sunday in the central portion Las Vegas Valley.
Drugs or alcohol were a factor in one accident and possibly the other as well.
Metro reported that a 6:04 a.m. single-car accident on North Nellis Boulevard at Stanley Avenue caused three injuries with a 19-year-old female transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition.
"All of the occupants were in their late teens and they hit a light pole," Metro Lt. Michael Wallace told News 3. "We will be doing a blood draw to check for alcohol or other factors."
The second accident occurred at 7:51 a.m. on southbound Rancho Drive between Owens and Washington when three cars collided.
One person has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The most serious injury was a person who was ejected and has a critical head injury, Wallace said. Three other injuries were minor and none were transported.
Wallace said Metro's fatal investigation team has been called to the Rancho accident.
