LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – Two people are dead this morning after a mobile home fire in the 3600 block of Boulder Highway, near Sahara.
The Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue sent nine units just after 7 a.m. to battle the blaze, according to a news release.
The first arriving unit reported heavy fire to the rear of and under the mobile home. This was the area of the master bedroom. The fire was under control in 15 minutes.
Fire crews located the bodies of two adult victims of the fire, in the master bedroom.
The Clark County coroner’s office and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were called to assist Clark County fire investigators in determining the cause of the fire and related fatalities.
The mobile home is approximately 40 years old. It was manufactured in the early 1970s. It was heavily damaged in the fire. Additional damage estimates are not available at this time.
Additional information concerning the ages and identities of the fire victims is not being released at this time, pending completion of the initial investigation and notifications by the coroner’s office.
