Man on overpass at Cheyenne, U.S. 95 surrenders

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- An individual on the overpass over U.S. 95 at Cheyenne forced the closure of all traffic in the area this morning.

Metro Officer Bill Cassell said there was a "peaceful resolution to the situation." The man walked away from the overpass and surrendered to officers. Cassell said the person is being evaluated to see what type of assistance he needed.

The closures occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Cheyenne Avenue and U.S. 95 were closed for about 20 minutes.
