LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A man and a woman involved in a murder-suicide Friday night in the far northeast part of the valley have been identified.
The victim was 22-year-old Sinthia Stephanie Cruz while the man who allegedly killed her and them himself was 25-year-old Angel Omar Cruz, according to the Clark County coroner's office.
She died of multiple gunshot wounds while he died of a single gunshot wound to his chest.
Their bodies were found shortly before 10 p.m. Friday about 3 miles east of Hollywood Boulevard in the far northeast area of Las Vegas.
Metro reported that at about 9:45 p.m. patrol officers responded to a desert area near East Lake Mead Hollywood boulevards to investigate a report of a male lying outside of a vehicle and a female inside of the vehicle who appeared to be deceased.
Homicide detectives learned that at about 7 p.m. the Dispatch Center had received a call about a female who had been taken from her home in the 300 block of Steelhead Lane, by her ex-boyfriend.
Patrol officers as well as domestic violence detectives were investigating when the bodies were discovered.
Detectives determined the people and the vehicle were the subjects of the earlier call to police.
