LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas woman is in Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries after her pickup truck collided with a Clark County fire truck Saturday afternoon.
Metro said the accident happened about 2:10 p.m. at Karen Avenue and Lamb Boulevard.
Investigators said witnesses and evidence indicate that Adriana Cano, 48, of Las Vegas was traveling southbound on Karen and attempted to turn her 2001 Ford F-150 left onto Lamb. The fire truck was headed north on Lamb and hit the left side of the pickup.
Cano was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver and two passengers in the fire truck were uninjured.
Metro said the fire engine did not have its flashing lights or siren activated and there was no traffic control light requiring it to stop at the intersection. The accident remains under investigation by Metro's accident investigation section.
