LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A man who worked as a security guard at a Las Vegas Strip hotel was indicted this morning by a Clark County grand jury on two counts of sexual assault.

Prosecutors say Jerry Johnson assaulted two women after escorting them to their Wyndham hotel rooms. In both instances, the victims were intoxicated. One victim said that after her attack, she went to see a doctor because of extreme pain, and the examination found that her tampon had been driven into her cervix and had to be extracted.

Prosecutors say they have DNA evidence in both cases related to the defendant.

Johnson, who is not in custody, has one week to come up with $500,000 bail. His next hearing is set for 9 a.m. May 14.

Also indicted today were:

Edward Edgerton, 27, on one count of murder with use of a deadly weapon. Edgerton is accused of killing his girlfriend, 24-year-old Tyanna Reynolds, by hitting her repeatedly with a belt March 15. Edgerton had told police he called 911 after finding Reynolds unconscious in the shower of her apartment on South Nellis Boulevard.

Bail was denied. His next hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. June 2.

Federico Sandoval, 50, and Jesus Vizcarra, 21, on two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, and one count each of conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act and unlawful possession of a firearm. Sandoval also faces an additional count of transport of a controlled substance.

Bail was set at $250,000 for each defendant. Their next hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. May 19.
