LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A Las Vegas teenager is under arrest and charged with multiple felonies after police say the vehicle he was driving crashed into a restaurant at lunchtime Monday, injuring many patrons.

Gage Lindsey, 18, is at the Clark County Detention Center.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a 1993 Lexus driven by Lindsey was traveling westbound on Sahara Avenue, west of Arville Street, when it entered a left-turn lane and struck the median head on just after 12:30 p.m.

The Lexus traveled over the median, struck another median, and entered the eastbound travel lanes. The Lexus began sliding sideways and was struck by a Mitsubishi Galant and then a Ford F-150.

The Lexus struck the south curb, a wall around the patio and then drove into the building of The Egg & I restaurant at 4533 W. Sahara Ave.

At least 10 people were taken to area hospitals, some with life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigations Section.
