LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A fire this morning at a vacant home near South Jones Boulevard and West Russell Road caused about $150,000 in damage.

According to a news release, Clark County and Las Vegas City fire department units responded just after 4:50 a.m. to the fire on Garden Sage Court.

Firefighters arrived to a two-story, single-family dwelling with smoke and fire coming from the rear of structure's second-story window. The second story was charged with smoke and extreme heat.

Fire was burning in the floor of the second-floor bedroom and was running in spaces under the floor, so that the fire had to be attacked from the first floor using thermal imaging cameras.

The dwelling was vacant and boarded up. There were no injuries associated with this fire.

Clark County Investigations Division will continue an inquiry.
