LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) — A judge sentenced a former Las Vegas Strip performer convicted of killing and dismembering his dancer ex-girlfriend in 2010 to life in prison today.

Jason Omar Griffith was found guilty of second-degree murder in May. Judge Kathleen Delaney ruled that Griffith can be eligible for parole in 10 years.

Griffith testified that he was fighting with Deborah Flores Narvaez and held her around the neck when he thought she was reaching for a gun. He says he panicked when she died and asked his roommate to help dispose of the body.

Judge Delaney said to Griffith, “the responsibility was entirely yours” during sentencing.

Flores Narvaez’s sister, Celeste, said during the victim’s statement portion of the sentencing: “'I knew the first time I spoke to him Dec. 15, 2010, it was him […] He became my nightmare, and I'm still living it. But I made sure to become his.”

Flores was a dancer in the racy "Fantasy" revue at the Luxor. Her disappearance drew intense attention for almost a month before Griffith's housemate, Louis Colombo, led police to her dismembered remains in tubs of concrete in a vacant downtown house.
