LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The site of the old Key Largo Casino -- a building that has been abandoned for years -- went up in flames and burned for hours Thursday night.
The fire shut down the east side of the Strip, and firefighters worked overnight on hot spots.
The smoke was visible from miles away. Nearly 120 firefighters responded. Two had to be treated for injuries.
The fire quickly extended into the attic space, preventing crews from entering the building.
Clark County fire crews say two firefighters suffered nonlife-threatening injuries.
There have been reports of squatters in the area since it was abandoned several years ago, and they'll be looking into what exactly caused this fire.
Damage is estimated at $4.5 million.
