LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Clark County Coroner said Alexis Gomez Bautista of Las Vegas is the teenager killed Monday night on Spring Mountain Road just west of the intersection of Wynn Road.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a driver of a semitractor-trailer was making a right turn onto Spring Mountain around 5 p.m. when the 17-year-old male went into the crosswalk and was hit by the rear of the truck.

Bautista was transported to UMC Trauma with critical injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after by attending medical personnel.

The driver of the truck was uninjured and remained on scene.

This is the 34th traffic related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2013. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigations Section.
