School lockdowns lifted after shooting near Owens, Marion

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Two schools that had been on lockdown this morning are reopened after a shooting near Owens and Marion.

Metro says one person is in custody and another person is being sought after the incident which began just after 10 a.m.

Ruben P. Diaz and Manuel J. Cortez elementary schools were on lockdown as police searched for a second person involved in the shooting. While the search continues, normal school activity was resumed just after 11:30 a.m.
