LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) –
A man has surrendered to Metro after a shooting early Tuesday morning left one person dead and another injured near Jones and U.S. 95.
Rolandis Summers, 20, of Las Vegas turned himself in just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
According to a Metro news release, Metro patrol officers were dispatched just after 12:10 a.m. to the 200 block of Orland Street to investigate reports of possible gunfire.
Arriving officers discovered an adult male in a hallway inside of an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. This victim was transported to the UMC Trauma Center and is expected to survive.
Officers found a second adult male victim within a room in the apartment dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The preliminary investigation revealed Summers and the victims were acquainted and that a verbal altercation preceded the shooting.
The identity of the deceased victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
