Budget Suites barricade ends with no suspect in sight

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – Metro investigators are back to square one after police entered a Budget Suites unit, only to discover an armed robbery suspect was not there.

Officers went into the Budget Suites at Tropicana and Polaris just before 11:30 a.m.

Metro Officer Laura Meltzer said a call came into dispatch just before 5:40 a.m. about an armed robbery of a business on the 3200 block of West Tropicana.

The suspect was reportedly seen entering the Budget Suites. Responding Metro units attempted to make contact with suspect, and surrounding units at the facility were evacuated.

Metro Officer Larry Hadfield said they believe the suspect was in a third-floor residence.
