Vehicle strikes pedestrian on sidewalk in front of bank

LAS VEGAS (KSNV – One person is in critical condition this morning after being struck by a vehicle on the 3600 block of East Flamingo Road, near South Sandhill Road.

Metro Officer Laura Meltzer said the accident occurred just after 11:50 a.m. Witnesses told police that the vehicle went onto the sidewalk in front of a Bank of America branch and hit the victim.

The victim was taken to Sunrise Trauma in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene. The entrance to the bank is temporarily closed as the investigation continues.
