Stranded motorist killed on I-15 after crossing lanes

MOAPA (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A man was killed this morning after attempting to cross the northbound Interstate 15 lanes near Moapa.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott, the victim’s vehicle broke down around 1:15 a.m. near southbound I-15 near mile marker 74, between U.S. 93 and Valley of Fire Highway. For reasons unknown, the man crossed into the northbound lanes and was struck by a red Nissan pickup.

The victim was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup remained at the scene. NHP is continuing its investigation.
