LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – Two people were injured this morning after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a school bus in southwest Las Vegas.

The male rider and female passenger were air-lifted to UMC Trauma.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at 8:45 a.m. Trooper Loy Hixson says the bus was northbound on El Capitan Way, making a left turn onto Blue Diamond Road. The motorcycle was headed eastbound on Blue Diamond when it collided with the bus.

The school bus had 60 children on board; no injuries were reported. Another bus was sent to transport the children to Faiss Middle School.
