Wole Soyinka (pronounced Woe-lay Shoyinka), Nigerian playwright, poet, novelist, and critic speaks at UNLV’s Student Union Theatre.

Soyinka has published twenty-one plays, two novels, five memoirs, ten collections of poetry and seven essay collections.

He spent from 1967-69 as a political prisoner and he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986. His latest book is You Must Set Forth at Dawn, a chronicle of his exile from Nigeria.
